From 1925 to 1930 three veteran songwriters -- B. G. DeSylva, Lew Brown and Ray Henderson -- formed a songwriting team that created a series of wonderful, light-hearted Jazz Age musical comedy gems and left us with some of the best (and downright cheeriest) work of the Songbook era, including "Button Up Your Overcoat", "The Best Things In Life Are Free", "Just Imagine", "Never Swat A Fly", "You're The Cream In My Coffee", and "(Keep Your) Sunny Side Up". In addition, all three were individually a part of many other Songbook classics both before and after their partnership, including "Life Is Just A Bowl of Cherries", "Look For The Silver Lining", "Bye, Bye Blackbird", "Avalon", "Sonny Boy", "If You Knew Susie", and…well, the list goes on and on!

Jesse Cloninger and The Jazz Kings open their 2017-18 season with a fun-packed tribute to this extraordinarily cheery, cheery and productive team from the golden age of musical comedy. You should only avoid this show if you are adverse to good times.
