Opening art reception and awards presentation.

Organized by the Willamette Valley PhotoArts Guild, “For the Love of Oregon” commemorates OSU's 150th anniversary as a Land Grant Institution by focusing on the beauty and diversity that make Oregon special, and calling attention to the many ways in which OSU enhances the lives of its citizens through its research, education and extension programs.

The more than 80 black-and-white and color photographs in the show depict a wide variety of subjects familiar to Oregonians: rolling wheat fields and hill-side vineyards, crashing waves and soaring bridges, snow-covered rangelands and ancient forests, counter-culture fairs and political protests.

The Willamette Valley PhotoArts Guild was formed more than 30 years ago to promote and support fine art photography in the mid-valley and has been an affiliated guild of the Corvallis Art Center since 1988. This is the 10th in its series of biennial expositions at The LaSells Center that explore the photogenic possibilities in their own backyard and beyond.

Reception and Awards Presentation:  Wednesday, Nov. 8th, 6:30 - 8:30 pm
