The PCOSW Speaker Series Subcommittee is seeking OSU partners who are in need of funding for a speaker event that aligns with the President’s Commission on the Status of Women (PCOSW) mission and builds on the 2016-17 Speaker Series theme of “Cultivating Connections.”
The PCOSW Speaker Series Subcommittee, composed of PCOSW members, welcomes funding requests from all members of the OSU community. The subcommittee is open to a range of formats for the speaker event, including but not limited to a lecture, workshop, or break out session. Applicants must provide a clear explanation of the purpose, timing, and cost of the speaker event; how the event aligns and supports the PCOSW mission; and the theme identified for the Speaker Series. Requests should be a maximum of 500 words, not including the budget.
The theme for the Academic Year 2016-17 Speaker Series is “Cultivating Connections.” The theme is intentionally broad to encourage creativity. Speaker events should be aimed at advancing a socially just community by nurturing our connections with each other and with our world.
If you would like to talk with someone about alignment with the theme prior to submitting your funding proposal, please send an email to [email protected].
